This collection has been a long time coming. Some of the pieces are recent, while others are older pieces that didn’t quite fit in my previous collection, Musings from the Elephant Piano Notebook: Poems and Essays (2016).

I always set out to fill an empty notebook with pieces before I release them. This never happens because writing poems is like catching fireflies in a jar. They light up for a few minutes and then fade away. If you’re lucky enough you get to enjoy them for a few minutes before they disappear.
